A number of AC Milan supporters reject the arrival of Julen Lopetegui as head coach for next season. Hearing this, the Rossoneri management reconsidered plans to bring in Paulo Fonseca.

AC Milan is widely rumored to be parting ways with Stefano Pioli at the end of this season. Rossoneri management is not satisfied with what Pioli has shown this season. Finally, Milan will fire Pioli at the end of the season.

Initially, Milan management's main target to replace Pioli was Julen Lopetegui. The Spanish coach is currently unemployed after last managing Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Lopetegui is not yesterday's afternoon child in the world of coaching. He has coached Spain at age group and senior level. Apart from that, Lopetegui has also led Porto, Real Madrid and Sevilla.

However, having a partner like that doesn't mean Lopetegui is accepted by Milan supporters. The hashtag #Nopetegui is circulating on social media. In fact, a petition was created against the recruitment.

According to Sky Sport transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan management heard these voices. As a result, they reconsidered their plan to appoint Lopetegui.

Apart from that, the names of other candidates also appeared. He is Paulo Fonseca who has previously been linked with Milan. Reportedly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giorgio Furlani are evaluating the former AS Roma coach, whose contract ends on June 30 2024.

In fact, there are several other coaches who are rumored to be in charge of Milan. Two of them are Antonio Conte and Roberto De Zerbi. However, according to Di Marzio, Conte tends to move closer to Napoli and De Zerbi stays in England.
