Marc Marquez's failure to win the podium at Motogp Qatar did not disappoint him. Instead, the Gresini Racing rider was satisfied with the results he achieved.
As is known, at the Qatar MotoGP, Marquez almost tasted his first podium in the 2024 season. The Baby Alien is only 1.5 seconds adrift of the third rider.
Many people think this will frustrate Marquez. It is only one step away that the Spaniard can taste the taste of standing on the podium again.
But Marquez showed a relaxed attitude. Graciously, Marquez accepted the failure.
"Obviously we tried to work hard for the podium. But that was not possible," Marquez said as quoted by the official MotoGP website.
Marquez said that he had actually guessed the results he would achieve at the Qatar MotoGP. Reflecting on the performance shown by his opponents, Marquez predicted that he could only finish in the middle position in the top 10.
"They are very fast compared to me. But I am not frustrated because I have said since Thursday, our position only feels at 4,5, and 6. In fact, during the sprint I finished in 5th position, then now 4th," explained Marquez.
"Always, the podium is almost achieved. But it's true that I still don't feel 100 per cent comfortable to ride the way I want. But we will see if we can improve in the race throughout," said the winner of the MotoGP title.
