The last match in Group F of the 2020 European Cup which took place Thursday (24/06) at midnight IST closed the entire group phase. The teams that have qualified and will clash with each other in the last 16 of the European Cup have already been seen.
The four teams that are in the best third-place category from the group stage have also been determined, judging by the applicable rules, the results are Portugal, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Ukraine.
Portugal, who ended the group F phase as third behind France and Germany, drew 2-2 against France in the last match of group F through Cristiano Ronaldo's two penalties which Karim Benzema scored twice (one from a penalty).
Portugal, who is also the defending champion of the European Cup, will immediately face the leaders of Group B, Belgium, which is in fact the first in the FIFA world rankings. The second match will take place at the Estadio de la Cartuja, Monday (28/06) at 12.30 am IST.
Meanwhile, another match that is no less exciting is the clash between two big countries, England against Germany at Wembley, Tuesday (29/06) at 9:30 pm IST.
Gareth Southgate's Three Lions finished as the leader of Group D with a record of two goals, without conceding from two wins and one draw.
Meanwhile, Germany became the runner-up in Group F after being made hard to draw 2-2 against Hungary, who played with determination in the last match of Group F.
